Monkey is a visual and performance artist, creating works that range from sculpture and installation to flat images on canvas, paper. perspex and glass. Monkey uses a massive range of materials and techniques form the traditional to the most modern.

Monkey´s strong and optimistic character always finds its way into the work. Subtle undertones of a harmonious world are constantly referred to against the stark realities of modern culture.

The worlds smallest art gallery is Monkey´s way of giving the public and other art galleries the serendipitious experience of viewing, meeting and discussing his work.


The process behind the concept for T.W.S.A.G is simple:

- To make the work and a gallery space which exist symbiotically and combine Monkey´s love for visual and performance art.

- Each gallery is lined with mirrored panels, this ensures that each space visited becomes an extension of T.W.S.A.G through the simple reflection of mirrors.

- Walking about with Monkey´s gallery attached to his person ensures total accessibility in other galleries and venues and the chance to talk and distribute information to interested parties.

- T.W.S.A.G miniature tours only last for one day. In this small time frame Monkey collects photographs from his assistant, train tickets, food receipts and info from galleries visited etc. This information is then carefully collaged onto the outside of relevant gallery space, bringing the work to a natural conclusion and giving the exhibition its very own history and provenance.

Monkey has made and toured a new gallery and artwork every month for the past year. The concept of T.W.S.A.G has evolved. It is now making representations of the worlds most famous art galleries and touring every third month.
